Harris is an international communications and information technology company serving government and commercial markets in more than 150 countries. Headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, the company has annual revenue of more than $5.3 billion and 16,000 employees — including nearly 7,000 engineers and scientists. Harris is dedicated to developing best-in-class assured communications® products, systems, and services.
Harris ImageLinks offers correlated bundled suite of solution oriented custom geospatial products and services to meet our customers most demanding needs. Image data collected from satellites or aerial cameras is not usually in a format that is readily useable and spatially accurate enough for most applications.
Harris ImageLinks Technology employs a sensor model approach for characterizing and correcting remote sensing image sets. This is in contrast to the polynomial warping technique that is employed in most remote sensing software packages
Harris ImageLinks creates TrueTerrain™ visualization and simulation products by merging and mosaicking multi-source satellite and aerial imagery of different resolutions on an elevation surface to provide realistic geo-specific terrain features.
Harris ImageLinks™ 15 Meter Global Data Set is the most realistic medium resolution global imagery product available in the visual simulation market. This 15 meter simulated true-color orthomosaic covers most of the Earth’s landmass. It was built from the best available Landsat 7 scenes that were collected circa 2000 and has been orthorectified to be within ~50 meter CE90 horizontal accuracy.
