Euromap Satellite Data Marketing Company
Euromap Satellitendaten-Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH is the
only actor in Europe to successfully receive, archive and market Indian
Earth observation satellite data. The company was founded in
1996 as a subsidiary of GAF AG in order to provide
data covering Europe from the fleet of Indian Remote Sensing Satellites.
Experience and expertise in data reception and data processing
is being optimally combined at Euromap with the required marketing and distribution
activities - an essential precondition for flexibly serving the growing
market for remote sensing data.
Euromap's product range includes high quality 3D fly-through terrain visualisations, rendered from Earth observation image data and digital elevation models. Free viewing software, Skyline's TerraExplorer®, is included and enables customers to freely navigate through the photo-realistic scenery of their area of interest, on standard PCs and in real-time.
Euro-Maps 2D are 5 m natural colour ortho-mosaics which are an ideal basis for the production of planning-relevant information and for the visualization of spatial relations with mapping scales up to 1:25,000.
Euro-Maps LC is a homogeneous thematic land cover dataset derived from IRS-P6 Resourcesat-1 satellite data. The production process employs object oriented classification methods, interactive post processing, and independent internal quality assurance procedures.
Since 1996 Euromap has systematically acquired IRS data from the European footprint of the Neustrelitz ground station. Simultaneously acquired PAN, LISS-III and WiFS data are recorded whenever possible. Our archive of a nearly cloud free coverage can be processed into 5m natural colour products.
Euromap started the systematic acquisition of IRS-P5 Cartosat-1 data within the European footprint of the Neustrelitz ground station in January 2008. The PAN-Fore and PAN-Aft data provide a stereoscopic coverage with high resolution.
In January 2005 Euromap started the systematic acquisition of IRS-P6 data from the European footprint of the Neustrelitz ground station. Simultaneously acquired LISS-IV Mono, LISS-III and AWiFS data are recorded whenever possible.
